  • No Sweat! Well, you will sweat but no problem if you are a total beginner! We love introducing people to this amazing method of body conditioning. If you are a Pilates Virgin, consider yourself in good hands! Our team will ease you into the basics while giving you an effective and challenging workout. You will get hooked as soon as you start and before you know it you will become a seasoned practitioner taking all the classes we have to offer with confidence and poise. We are with you every step of the journey.

    Congratulations on taking your first step to a body that is strong, flexible and free to move without pain or discomfort.

  • Wear comfortable form fitting clothing that will allow free range of movement and will stay cool when you get warm and sweat. And you will get warm and sweat!

    Pilates is done without shoes and either barefoot or wearing grippy socks. Don't have grippy socks? No problem! We sell them along with other workout gear and accessories in our studio boutique.

  • If you have an active injury then for sure rest and let it heal. Once it is healed, please bring in a note from your doctor that you are cleared to participate in an exercise regimen. Then schedule a private session appointment, prior to booking a class, so that one of our extensively certified instructors can assess your readiness and which class or session is right for you. Pilates can be a safe and effective post injury workout and build back strength and mobility to all areas of the body. We take the health of your body very seriously and keeping you safe in your workout is top priority. We value being a part of your journey back to health will find the appropriate workout for you.   • Booking a class or private training session is easy! You have 2 options.

    1- Download the Mindbody app and search for THE STUDIO TARA LYN PILATES. You will see Montville and Wayne locations separately. Click the little heart right next to our name and THE STUDIO will show up every time you open the app. Then have fun booking all of your favorite classes and sessions!

    2- Go to www.taralynpilates.com and click on our scheduling page. You can choose the Studio of your choice and book right through that page.

    If you have any trouble, please email info@taralynpilates.com and someone will assist you in booking.

  • The great news is you can do Pilates every day (and should!) and not overtrain. Practicing Pilates once a week will yield results, but to really get the benefits that Pilates offers we recommend coming 3-4 times a week.

  • If you know you can't make it to class, and it's already inside the late cancellation window of 12 hours, simply open your app and "late cancel." A $10 late cancellation charge will be processed. By late canceling, you're releasing your spot to potentially go to someone else.

    A $25 class "no show" charge will be processed in the event that you miss class, and don't let us know.

    *All fees associated with canceling apply to memberships only. Package holders will simply lose their class.

  • Please early cancel your individual session up to 24 hours before your appointment time with no penalty. If you need to cancel your session inside the 24 hour window, you will lose your session. This is simply to protect our instructors, their teaching time and schedule. Every client gets 1 free late cancellation because we understand things happen.

  • YES! Your packages and memberships are applicable to both our Montville and Wayne Studio locations. Simply book the studio of your choice on our website or Mindbody app.
